I am Amee, a housewife, mother, food lover, and DIY cleaner. I am a special needs parent and a woman’s health advocate. I love my cats, shoes, chocolate, shakeology and Superman. I raise money for my son’s medical treatment as an on-line health and fitness coach through Beachbody. I am an Emerald Team Beachbody Coach, I love to help people on-line attain their health and fitness goals.

Now let’s get down to the questions:
- Why did you start blogging?
I have always loved to write and I naturally share my life and what works for me. I had wanted to start a blog for two years, but fear held me back – would anyone read it, would anyone care. Then my daughter Ayla was born and my husband suggested now was the time or never. We have a son who has a lot of special needs and the main reason I started Inspired-Housewife was make a place for his story. On my blog I call it the Tristan Project and then it evolved from there much bigger than I had ever imagined.
- What keeps You blogging?
I am a hobby blogger meaning I have taken time off when my life does not allow me to blog, but I keep coming back because I love to share what works for me. People seem to love what I write and I have gained many wonderful friendships out of it.
- What is your favorite post?
Honestly I don’t have an all time favorite post, but one that makes me laugh is my first time shopping with three kids. So for comic relief I love this post: http://www.inspired-housewife.com/kids-shopping-behavior/
- What blogs inspire you?
I love all different kinds of blogs, but some that inspired me are Organized Homelife. It was Ginny’s feature of one of my pee cleaning post that really got my blog out there. Another is Frugally Sustainable I love all of Andrea’s posts and how everything is DIY, GMO free, and clean. When it comes to food blogs I have learned so much from Pinch of Yum and I can always count on Inspiralized and The Baking Beauties to never make a bad recipe.
- What is your Holy Grail (deliberately left vague…)
With my blog I would love to take it to the next level and quit treating it like a hobby. I have a very busy life as an health coach for Beachbody and a mom to three, but my first love is to write and share.
- If there is one thing that you could do what would it be? I would take my son who has Autism to walk the Great Wall of China. We have talked about it a lot and it is something I have promised him we would do together. <3 7. Where would your dream vacation be?
A family vacation would be a Disney cruise every mom I know says it is the best because you actually get a vacation. If only me and my hubby any place without kids, alone with him is wonderful – we don’t get many chances to be alone together (actually we have only ever had four days in our entire eight years of parenting).
- What is your biggest accomplishment?
Hmmmm . . . I believe my biggest accomplishment in my life so far is the children I have. My children do not make me who I am, but without them I would not have evolved as the woman I am today. There were days when I held my son in his first year of life not knowing if he would make it to his first birthday. Those moments change a person down to their very fiber. I have my moments of wondering if I should have ever embarked on the journey called motherhood, but then I would not be as strong, as considerate and honest about my life if not for my struggles in the journey.
- What is your biggest Failure?
My biggest failure is I am my own worst enemy! I can rip myself apart in no time flat and if I treated my family and friends the way I treat myself I probably would not have very many of them left. It is something I am continually working on and growing as a woman, wife, and mother.
10. If you could change anything in this world what would it be?
I would take away the pains and struggles in this world. There are so many of us that suffer from depression, that suffer from severe stress, from auto-immune disorders like myself, who struggle to parent a special needs child, or keep the job that keeps the lights on. It is never ending and if I could bring peace to each person in this world I would do it. I know not realistic, but that is what I would do.
