GOTM about meGirl on the Move  loves adventures and is always on the move, so whether that is exploring Southern California, tasting a new cupcake, running or traveling, she shares those adventures with you!  She hopes to inspire you to try new things and when you do try something new, She would love to hear about it!

So what do you need to know about Julie?

1. Why did you start blogging?  I started blogging because I needed an outlet for my thoughts.  In the beginning it was just about having a place to share what I was doing with my life and any thoughts I had about life.
2. What keeps you blogging?  There a few things that keep me blogging…I absolutely love connecting with readers and hearing about any new adventures they try, places they visit and people they meet.  I also really treasure the relationships I’ve developed with other bloggers and the various people I’ve met through blogging.
3. What is your favorite post?  My current favorite post is one I just recently shared about the next chapter of my life.  This summer I began the adoption process and it is scary and exciting all at the same time!  http://www.girlonthemoveblog.com/2014/09/04/living-big-my-next-chapter/

4. What blogs inspire you?  Oh my goodness, there are too many to list them all!  I actually have a series on my blog called Be Inspired and each week I share about someone who inspires me…so the recent bloggers I’ve featured are Courtney (from http://pizzazzerie.com/) and Amanda (from http://www.runtothefinish.com/)
5. What is your Holy Grail?  There are so many different ways I could answer this question!  I’ve written about this a little bit on my blog by my ultimate dream in life is to get married and have a family.  That journey is definitely looking different than I thought it would be as I mentioned in the question about my favorite post, I started the adoption process this summer and can’t wait to be a mommy!
6. If there is one thing that you could do what would it be?  I would love to host a cupcake tv show!  Think Drivers, Dine-In and Dives style…but for cupcakes!  I’ve already been to close to 75 cupcake shops around the county and have so many more I’d love to try!  If you live near a shop or have a favorite, I’d love to hear about it!  And you can check out some Cupcake FAQ’s here… http://www.girlonthemoveblog.com/2014/08/19/cupcake-faq/

7. Where would your dream vacation be?  My dream vacation would be three months exploring Europe…not necessarily on a backpack adventure but there is so much in Europe I would love to see!  But one of the things I blog about is travel, so really any time I have the opportunity to go somewhere new is a dream vacation!
8. What is your biggest accomplishment?  This is a toss up between two things.  I grew up in Southern California and when I was 22 I packed up my life and moved to Philadelphia where I didn’t know a single person.  So living in Philadelphia for seven years is a huge accomplishment because I went from not knowing anyone and not having to job to building a life there.  I learned so much about myself in the process and am incredibly grateful for the experience.  The second accomplishment is that I was able to retire from teaching before I turned 30.  Five years ago I became a Thirty-One consultant (www.mythirtyone.com/jdenouden) and after three years of working really hard to grow my business I was able to retire from teaching and now Thirty-One is my full-time job…but it comes with part time hours!
