10 Things Every Mom Needs in Her Purse

September 16, 2014 ~ 7 Comments

purse

As a Mom, we need to be prepared for anything. That’s why it is so important to have everything you could need in your purse.

 1. A pen and paper

There is so much to remember when you are a mom. We moms are always making lists in our head but you never really remember everything every day. It is nice to have a notepad and pen to write everything down. (Affiliate Link)

2. Planner

Again with it being hard to remember everything, having a planner makes life so much easier. I love Emily Ley’s Planner. It helps me stay on track and has room to write down to-do lists and meal plans. Check out why I love it here.

3. Band-Aids and antiseptic

Kids are always getting hurt. I keep Band-Aids and Neosporin in my purse and have an extreme first aid kit in the trunk of my car. I keep the spray on Neosporin because it is so much quicker, less messy, and you don’t have to use your fingers.

4. Disinfectant

Kids carry germs and pick up germs. Target has this small travel sized disinfectant spray in their travel area that I keep in my purse. This makes it so that I can quick spray down anything from shopping carts to toys that have been to school.

purse 25. Crayons

You already have the paper in your purse, crayons to color with is another quick way to entertain kids in a pinch. Sometimes you need to have a conversation, wait at the doctors, or entertain your kid at a restaurant while you finish eating or wait for food. Restaurants usually have crayons for kids, just take them with you when you are done and keep them in your purse. Or by a set of crayons to keep in there.

6. $20 cash

It is always nice to have some emergency money. I keep mine in the case of my phone that way I have it even if I lose my purse or left it at home. I always make sure my phone is in my pocket or on me, not in my purse. I know it is hard to do if you don’t have any pockets but if you have on jeans, keep it in your pocket.

7. Deodorant

So, when you have boys, chasing after them is constant. Some days it is necessary to reapply deodorant. Plus, sometimes you may forget to apply it.

8. Gum

This is something everyone should have on them in my opinion. Gum can actually be used for more than just chewing. A gum wrapper and a battery can be used to start a fire, Gum can be used to stick things together as well. It is a survival item as well as an item to keep you from snacking, freshen your breath, and entertain a child.

9. Hair-tie

There is nothing more annoying than your hair getting in your face. Ok well, maybe your child pulling your hair is right up there. Either way a hair-tie is a must have. Bonus if you throw a brush in there as well. Plus if you have a little girl you never know when you will need to put their hair up as well. Can also be used as a rubber band, or use a rubber band as a hair-tie.

10. Wipes

Seriously wipes have 1,000,000 uses. Kids are messy and it makes for an easy way to clean them or any object up. It can help out when you are in a bathroom stall and there is no toilet paper. It can wipe their sticky fingerprints off your phone. It can clean sunglasses. Like I said 1,000,000 uses.

I don’t care how old my kids get but I will never stop buying wipes. I clean my trim with them. Seriously, they are everything.

Visiting from the Mommy Needs Linky! I used to joke I needed a towel in my purse, too. My son was always, always wanting to go on slides that were wet. A towel in the back of the car–or in the purse–became a must to wipe down those slides!
